日本ネパール友好センター代表・設立者、社会活動家

ネパール出身。日本に11年間在住。オーストラリアと米国で社会科学と政治学について学んだ後、ネパールの貧しい子供たちへの教育支援活動を行う。来日後、母国の社会問題を支援するためのNGO活動を始める。2010年には寄付を募り、地元ポカラ市に学校を建設し、2012年にこども達の為の図書館を建設。東日本大震災後、日本の復興について話し合うべきである、という思いからTEDxSapporoを設立し、2012年2月TEDxSapporoを開催。現在は、震災からのネパール復興のための支援を募るために来日し、2015年8月から9月初旬に掛けては震災チャリティーウォークで仙台から神戸まで917kmを踏破した。

Dillip BK Sunar is the founder of the NGO, Tsubomi Gakko Pokhara Nepal, in Japan to address social issues, including the issue of ensuring adequate educational support for impoverished children. He completed a charity walk in which he travelled a total distance of 917km on foot.
