1992年より無線通信システムの研究開発ならびに標準化に従事。2000年より4Gの研究を開始、スモールセル化を予見し無線バックホールに着目、以来、その実現へ向けた研究開発を推進。政府系プロジェクトでの研究開発を経てその成果を事業化するべく、2008年にPicoCELA社を設立し今日に至る。Twitterアカウントはfuruhiro。

Professor of Kyushu University/CTO at PicoCELA

Hiroshi Furukawa is a professor of Kyushu University at the Department of Informational Science and Electrical Engineering and CTO at PicoCELA, INC. His work in R&D for wireless communication systems began in 1992. While working on the development of a 4th generation mobile wireless system in 2000, Furukawa’s focus turned to the development of wireless backhaul on small cell system spreads. PicoCELA launched in 2008 backed by his R&D initiatives supported by government.
