お茶店に生まれ、高校卒業後すぐ家業の茶販売及び水引細工(結納)の製造販売に就く。1999年一念発起、自宅庭にコーヒーの焙煎小屋を建て自家焙煎珈琲の取組みを始める。その後、生豆の買付けグループに参加し本格的にスペシャルティコーヒーを学び、マイクロロースターとして産地にも足を運び買付けを行う。COEカップオブエクセレンスの国際審査員としても参加し、生産者とのネットワークを構築するダイレクトトレードの先駆けとして、本物志向を実践する自家焙煎珈琲店を展開する。今が夢の途中!

Adachi Coffee
Kazuhiro Adachi was born as the eldest son of a teashop. After graduating from high school in 1980, he started his career in manufacturing and sales of the Japanese traditional Mizuhiki knot. In 1999, he built a hut to roast coffee beans in his garden, and embarked on coffee roasting business. Kazuhiro later participated in a group of buyers of green coffee beans where be studied specialty coffee, and even travelled to production areas to purchase them as a micro-roaster. He also served as an international judge for Cup of Excellence. As a pioneer of direct trade that establishes network between farmers and roasters, he now runs four home-roasting coffee shops in Fukuoka. Despite his achievements, Kazuhiro is still busy living up to his dream!
